Bringing art into Person-Centred therapy adds an individual creative soothing mix to your process and journey. You may gain insights into new ways of feeling, seeing and being to help you find your path again. It is a mindful relaxing approach to feeling whole.

A one to one Person-Centred Therapeutic Creative art session with me involves a guided meditation to get your physical/emotional self settled feeling calm and grounded. Then in your own time, I invite you to use art materials of your choice to create what came up for you.

You do not have to be an artist.

You are the creator of your life.

Let it happen.

Afterwards we talk about your creation.

I may reflect your words and ask you what these mean to you.

In theory terms this is called 'reflecting and bridging'.

There is no judgement or critique on your art, feelings, actions or life.

There is only acceptance, empathy and unconditional positive regard.

For you, from me.

£60 per hour. Email me for a free initial 20 min meet.

About me..
IMG_7482.jpeg

Being a Person Centred Therapist is a culmination of experiences and training. My best things on this journey are family, animals, nature, people, communication and creativity.

I started off at Aberdeen University studying MA History of Art. After I worked in media and the arts for 10 years in London and Aberdeen.

Collieston became home in 2000, I have been here ever since.

As a mum of 4, career life has been based around home life. This includes studying child development with Dundee University, working as a self employed registered childminder, school nursery practitioner, Playgroup Manager and Forest School Leader.

After lockdown, I graduated with PG Dip in Person-Centred Counselling from Aberdeen University.

I continue finding new ways of growing, communicating and being.

Equi Scotia's Equine Facilitated Learning Introduction Course showed me the power and healing presence of horses.

As part of being a volunteer Counsellor with GREC in Aberdeen their Counselling with a Translator course enable me to work with clients who did not speak English.

As a Certified Practitioner of the Association Person Centred Creative Arts, I use creative arts therapeutically to help clients release feelings, thoughts and connections for personal, mindful growth and healing

In my approach I believe you are the expert of your own life.

I will listen, help you feel brave and be there while you create your unique way forwards.

We can talk, we can walk, we can sit and be.

That's a sense of my vibe.

I'm offering a genuine, caring place of acceptance for you to process what's going in your world.

When you are ready, email me to book your initial free online chat.

You can ask me more info, see what connection feels right for you.

I look forward hearing from you.

Sending kind thoughts,

Jessica.
